My fellow Christians: How can you deny the overwhelming evidence supporting evolution?

Many Christians do accept the evidence supporting changes and adaptations within species or micro-evolution. There is no compelling evidence to support the idea of a common ancestry to all living things (macro-evolution), and it is incompatible with the Genesis account which is authoritative and true. The idea that the complexity and diversity seen in the universe and on Earth arose by mere chance plus time plus material of unknown origin is a mathematical impossibility.
