Help with backyard farming?

One of your best places to start is with your local county extension agent. Most of the extension agents that I have ever talked with are very helpful and they would love to help a young person get started. You can get information on your county extension services from the website "http://solutionsforyourlife.ufl.edu/". In addition to talking with you, the county extension service has all kinds of publications. I just can't say enough positive things about the extension service. BTW, I grew up on a farm and farmers rely on their extension agents too.
