Consequences of getting an MIP?

I was at a college party this past weekend in northern california and a cop tapped my friend and I and asked what was in our cup. He smelled the alcohol in the cup and wrote me a ticket. I am only 17 years old and have no criminal record. How much do you think the ticket will cost? Do I need to take cles? What are the chances of it just being dismissed, there were hundreds of people there.
