Did anyone buy (and still uses) the Official NBA ball from '06-'07?

I remember all of the controversy about the ball and actually stayed away from buying one. I have a basketball but it's just a Spalding that I walked into Target and bought without really comparing. Since I just play the occasional pickup game with friends and people in the business, it didn't seem like it was worth it to do a lengthy ball-by-ball comparison.
